Weddings at Aqueduct

Aqueduct is an elegant and intimate venue for your perfect wedding ceremony and reception. Whether you choose to be married in front of our stone hearth in the Main Lodge or on our back porch overlooking the 40 mile natural landscaped view, you and your guests are sure to have wonderful memories of your special day.

Located on one of the highest points in Orange County and on 22 acres of pastoral beauty, Aqueduct is one of the most unique wedding sites in Chapel Hill.  By itself, the lawn makes a picturesque spot for a ceremony, add a tent to continue with the reception. Or, let the music from the Main Lodge baby grand piano carry your guests indoors to a more intimate reception. Don’t forget about the large covered deck that can be used for cocktail hour with tall tables or clear the space for a dancefloor.

Ceremony Policies:

Aqueduct is a 501(c3) non-profit Christian Conference Center and values the sanctity of marriage. We do not require our guests to be of the Christian Faith; however we do not endorse any services or ceremonies that may contradict our beliefs.

We believe marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman in the sight of God. Ceremonies onsite will be performed by a practicing, ordained minister approved by Aqueduct. We will gladly offer recommendations if you do not have a local minister.

Depends on the type of Wedding/Reception you want to have.  For indoors a smaller ceremony is ideal-no more than 60-unless you want people standing in the side two rooms.  An indoor reception could be around 115 people (or up to 175 for a standing reception).  If you take things outside in any fashion your number becomes almost limitless. 40X60 Tent pad can seat up to 275(+rented tent).

You may serve Beer and Wine, however NO liquor.
Aqueduct staff is not allowed to open or pour alcoholic beverages. You must provide your own bartender.
